USPTO GRANTS RELONA PATENT ON ANTI-PIRACY SYSTEM

Relona's anti-piracy technology is now covered by a patent issued by the United-States Patent and Trademark Office.

Unlike DRM systems based on hardware activation, Relona's anti-piracy system is invisible to legitimate users. Users may freely move their software and digital media from one computer to another. They can make backup copies to CDs and DVDs. But if pirates try to use unlicensed copies, the system prevents them from using the software.

By making it possible to protect both the rights of buyers as well as sellers of digital goods, Relona's anti-piracy system encourages ecommerce in digital media.

COMPARISON STUDIES OF RELONA'S SEARCH ALGORITHM BY EXPERTS

Relona has engaged search-experts to conduct comparison studies of Relona's performance relative to Google, Yahoo and Microsoft. Initial data was collected by a former member of Google's search-quality team. Further studies were conducted by Dr. Giridhar Kumaran (now at Microsoft LiveLabs, formerly at Yahoo-Research) to understand how Relona's query-rewriting system helps improve the accuracy of existing web-search engines.

RELONA VS. GOOGLE / YAHOO / MSN-LIVE / ASK.COM

Version 3 demonstrates a clear benefit over current search algorithms. The algorithm clearly illustrates how Yahoo/Ask/MSN-Live might use Relona's technology to catch up with Google.

Relona has conducted detailed studies using AOL's search-logs to determine the exact benefits that this technology brings to each of Yahoo, Ask.com and MSN-Live.
